Christmas with a Purpose
Christmas in Pender-Onslow Festival of Trees is more than a holiday celebration. It is a time for our community to come together, enjoy the beauty and joy of Christmas, and support the work of Lauren's Hope. Through beautifully decorated trees, family activities, entertainment, and special events, the Festival brings people together while helping make a difference in the lives of women and families in our community.
Our Story
The Christmas in Pender-Onslow Festival of Trees had been a beloved community tradition under the leadership of another organization. When the time came for them to pass the Festival on, Lauren's Hope was given the opportunity to continue it.
The timing could not have been better. Lauren's Hope did not yet have a major annual fundraiser, and the Festival arrived at just the right time. We embraced the opportunity and began a new chapter for this treasured Christmas tradition.
In 2025, Lauren's Hope hosted the Festival of Trees for the first time—and our community made it an incredible success. What began as an unexpected opportunity has quickly become a special way to celebrate Christmas, bring our community together, and support the mission of Lauren's Hope.
Our Purpose
The Christmas in Pender-Onslow Festival of Trees celebrates the Christmas season while raising awareness and support for Lauren's Hope. Proceeds from the Festival help Lauren's Hope continue serving women and families in our community.
